About

Calm instruction. No pressure. Real progress.

Hi, I'm Bob, the instructor behind Devils Driving. I teach learners of all ages and abilities around Wellington, Taunton and the surrounding Somerset villages.

Every pupil learns differently, so every lesson is planned around you: your pace, your nerves, your goals. We'll practise on the roads and junctions you'll actually meet on test day, and I'll make sure you're a safe, confident driver for life, not just for 40 minutes with an examiner.

  • Nervous and first-time drivers welcome
  • Theory test help and hazard perception tips
  • Progress tracked so you always know where you stand

FAQ

Good questions

What do I need before my first lesson?

A valid UK provisional driving licence and glasses or contact lenses if you need them to read a number plate from 20 metres. That's it.

How many lessons will I need?

The DVSA says most people need around 45 hours of lessons plus 22 hours of private practice, but everyone is different. After your first lesson I'll give you an honest estimate.

Can you pick me up from school, college or work?

Yes. Pick-up and drop-off anywhere within the areas covered at no extra cost.

Do you teach in an automatic?

Lessons are currently in a manual car. Get in touch if you're looking for automatic tuition and I'll point you in the right direction.

What's your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a lesson, otherwise the full lesson fee is payable.
